6 ways to glam-up ur basics...

Welcome t0 the season of looking glam every day even if u don’t make a iving on the red carpet!!

1.CREATIVE LAYER

Start practising layering and pairing everything and anything 2gether in ur wardrobe. You want to build ur wardrobe with an arsenal of classic pieces – then layer n mix ‘em up from week to week so u almost never hav da same outfit on.

2.DRESS LIKE U’RE COLOUR BLIND

Most girl avoid buying brights bcoz they want to avoid da complexity of thinking wut to match it with. Good news: it doesn’t really matter!!The new rule is there are no rules when it comes to colour-mixing....except maybe to get inspirati0n from popsicles and ice-cream flavours.

3.COOL GREYS
If u do need a neutral, grey is a classy option. It’s got more street cred than white but is softer than black, n whereas khaki looks too ”casual Fridays”, greys goes with the ergonomic chairs in the boardroom. Plus, every shade of skin tone. So, quick!! Update the white pants or short wit grey ones on u can finally relax ‘bout VPLs.

4.LOOSE THE TIGHT-FITTING CLOTHES
When u hav to watch the food bump after a huge meal cos ur clothes are clinging on to ur midriff, then u need to up a siza. The new chic silhouette is slouchy (but not sloppy): pants than skim over ur hips, blazers that hang past ur wist n white, airy dresses. If anything dis gives the illusion dat u’ve lost a few pounds as opposed to just-ate-a-quarter pounder.

5.SHOW OFF UR MANY STRIPES

Thin, fat and colourful – learn to love stripes of all shades n sizes cos Gap’s Spring Collection 2009 has tons of stripe-on stripe action! It’s time to welcome this fresh, fun way to colour-block!!

6.BUY SWIMWEAR U’LL WEAR (witout a kaftan cover up)
Bathing suit should be juz da right size: too loose n u’ll look weird n too tight means muffin tops, camel-toes n other bad things dat go bump. With strategically placed cut-outs and vibrant, beach-ball colours, u’ll feel sexy but not self-concious – dis is not to b hidden under a SARONG !! ;p
